Even with our differences—Democrat or Republican, rich or poor, middle class or otherwise, gender, or ethnicity—we are tied together. Guided by faith or by conscience, we want the same essentials: Financial and physical safety for our families. To be part of a free republic that honors life and dignity, and to be truly represented by our leaders for who "we are" instead of who they are.
As citizens of this nation and of the world, we long for peace with our neighbors—near and far. We choose a world where every person, regardless of gender, nationality, or income, is treated as a valued contributor to our diverse, free democracy.
Let's reject the hatred of differences that our leaders use to divide us, and instead celebrate the richness of our diversity.
Together, let's build a peace centered in respect for each other and once again truly be the beacon on the hill.
As "We the People," let's use our united power not as a weapon, but as a promise—that everyone has a real voice and that our future depends on all of us working together.
“We the People”
We are the guardians of our democracy, so let us work together to protect it.
