Humanity Earth Subscriptions and how they work..

At Humanity Earth we understand that life can be expensive so offer our many services and foods in a subscription agreement spreading the cost out over the calendar year.

Healthy Foods Subscriptions..

Every February  Humanity Earth will offer subscriptions for a half or quarter of a free range beef with deliveries to your butcher to be made the following October. Keep in mind these are first come first serve offerings and when there gone there gone.

An adult cow can range between 1,000 to 1,800 pounds with the average weight being around 1,300 hundred pounds with an average cost per/pound of $8.50 - $9.50/pound

The hanging weight price of a half cow is around $5.50 - $9.50/pound  with the total cost ranging between $1,500.00 - $1,800.00.

A few terms you should be familiar with when purchasing beef from the farm.

Live Weight..

Live weight or the weight of the cow when walking around in the pasture. Typically weighting around 1300 pounds.

Hanging weight..

Hanging Weight is the weight of the complete cow hanging in the butcher shop before it is processed into cuts of meat. The difference between live weight and hanging weight is due to the loss of unusable portions of the animal.

Hanging weight is the typical weight used by the farm and processer to determine the total cost of the meat you put in your freezer.

Final weight..

Final Weight is the total weight of the actual meat harvested. This is the actual weight of the meat you put in your freezer.

The difference between Hanging weight and Final comes from the loss of weight during the cutting process due to the removal of excess fat, bone material, and some water loss.

At Humanity Earth we raise our grass fed animals on open fields to produce a happy healthy natural herd.

Customized ..

Customized means the whole or half cow you are purchasing is cut to your direction. For example how thick or thin you want the steaks or roasts cut or how much of the cow half or whole you would like turned into hamburger etc.

All of this can be decided when working with the butcher shop.
